Igbo calendar has 13 months in a year, 7 weeks in a month, 4 days in a week and an extra day at the end of each year.
Get the Android app here https://goo.gl/UhJNWs

You can also use the app find if you are Okeke, Okafor, Nwankwo etc. Use the Find an Igbo Market Day feature.

Igbo Calendar a.k.a Biafra Calendar has EKE, ORIE, AFO and NKWO market days of the week for the Biafrans. We have two versions; Modern Calendar which is simply the normal Gregorian calendar but with Igbo Days. The Traditional Calendar is the Original Igbo Calendar with 13 Months in a year, 28 Days in a Month, and 4 Days in a Week. However, from research, 1 additional day is added at the end of each Year. We added it to Onwa Uzo Alusi. This approximate calculation corresponds with the history of Afo Ohuru (New Year) as celebrated by the Nri Kingdom, check 18th February 2012.

Are you Okeke or Mgbeke? :) Find out now! This premium Igbo calendar has both the Traditional ancient Calendar and the Modern Calendar of the Biafran people. It is simply fascinating to know the actual Igbo Market Day that you were born. EKE, ORIE, AFOR and NKWO are fully represented in a simple format.

This is one of the best if not the best feature of this great application. You can access it via the sidebar menu to the left. With this tool, you will able to search both past and future dates to know which Igbo market day that it corresponds to. An example use case is when you search for your birthday to identify if you are Okeke, Mgbeke, Okonkwo, Mgbokwo, Okafor, Mgbafor etc. Another use case is if you are planning a traditional marriage and like to know which market it falls under. Isn't that interesting?
